What You'll Do:
- Assist physicians and cath lab staff during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including PCI and structural heart interventions.
- Scrub, circulate, and monitor during electrophysiology procedures, device implants, generator changes, lead revisions, and leadless pacing systems.
- Support neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures, including diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions.
- Manage vascular access techniques for radial and femoral approaches, sheath management, and vascular closure devices.
- Operate advanced cardiovascular imaging and mapping systems such as ICE, IVUS, OCT, and 3D mapping when applicable.
- Participate in emergent cases and the department’s weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation as required by clinical needs.
Minimum Requirements
- State of Connecticut radiographer license and/or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification through CCI is required.
- Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab / EP Lab experience in hospital settings supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
- Proficiency in scrubbing EP procedures (ablations, device implants, generator changes, lead revisions, leadless pacing).
- Experience scrubbing cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cases (PCI, atherectomy) and supporting mechanical circulatory support devices (Impella, IABP, temporary pacing).
- Experience supporting neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures, including diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Proficiency in radial and femoral vascular access, sheath management, and vascular closure devices.
- Preferred: If a licensed radiologic technologist, familiarity with Siemens systems. Preferred: additional RCIS certification if not already held.
