ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Competently work all stations in the Wabasha Creek kitchen.
- Open and/or close the kitchen.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the kitchen area.
- Maintain portion control in all applicable areas.
- Take direction from the Wabasha Creek Manager, Supervisor and Lead Cook
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in line cooking at a full-service restaurant preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
- Culinary skills, including frying, sautéing, broiling, basting, baking, poaching and roasting.
- High level of skill at all cooking stations.
- Knowledge and utilization of proper sanitation practices.
- Strong knife skills.
- Highly organized and time-efficient.
- Self-motivated.
- Able to follow and appropriately modify recipes.
- Able to produce consistent food products.
- Able to work all stations and shifts as needed.
- Able to handle working alone.
- Able to handle working in a fast-paced environment under stressful conditions.
UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
- Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Mobility throughout the facility.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Able to twist, bend and squat frequently.
- Able to tolerate heat.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Good coordination and awareness.
