Key Responsibilities
- Independently lead mechanical design staff throughout the project design and construction phases.
- Identify and solve problems with a goal to provide appropriate and constructable solutions.
- Work in a multi-discipline team environment to manage the development, design, and implementation of HVAC and plumbing concepts, systems, drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate with external suppliers, internal design teams, and manufacturers.
- Major system equipment selection.
- Ensure mechanical designs meet company Quality standards.
- Use various software packages to calculate building loads including heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing systems.
- Respond to contractors during the construction.
- Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- 7 years relevant design experience with building mechanical systems.
- A strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes.
- Organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time.
- Self-starter who can work independently and be part of a team.
- Outstanding organization, attentiveness to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Work independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff.
- Ability to prioritize strategically and demonstrate flexibility to achieve long-range goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, Carrier HAP or equivalent energy modeling tool, and Autodesk Revit.
