Jackola Engineering & Architecture in Bozeman Montana is seeking a talented and experienced Surveyor with a PLS License to join our dynamic team.

You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary staff, clients, contractors, public agencies, and vendors to bring exceptional designs to life. From construction layout, boundary, topographic, as built surveys, and other survey related tasks, you'll engage in a wide range of impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform complex survey duties associated with construction stakeout and boundary, topographic, and as built surveys.
- Research historic maps, land records, previous surveys, and land title reports.
- Complete boundary reductions, boundary determinations, and mapping/topographic field reductions in CAD/survey software.
- Maintain and verify accuracy of project survey data while ensuring company standards survey database. Review survey production and final products, processed data collection, and field notes for quality control.
- Boundary surveys for commercial and residential properties, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, pre-engineering surveys, floodplain surveys, and construction staking for highways, large commercial structures, high end residential homes, and various commercial sites.
- Understand local government regulations and potential environmental hazards in our region.
- Engage in business development and prepare to survey services bid requests.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License.
- 4 years relevant design experience with land surveying.
- Travel will be required throughout Montana and region.
- Work independently, managing priorities.
- Maturity and self-confidence to engage with clients and colleagues.
- Local experience and licensure in Montana preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Trimble Survey Instruments, Trimble Access, and Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Program knowledge in Trimble Business Center beneficial.
- Experience with UAV systems beneficial but not required.
- A strong understanding of related design concepts and jurisdictional requirements.
- Organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time.
