Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor mechanical design staff through project design and construction phases.
- Develop practical, efficient, and constructible mechanical solutions to meet project goals.
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to design HVAC and plumbing systems, prepare construction documents, and develop technical specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, manufacturers, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Perform major equipment sizing and selection.
- Ensure designs meet Jackola's quality standards and project requirements.
- Utilize industry software to perform heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing load calculations.
- Support construction administration activities and respond to contractor questions during construction.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4 years of experience in designing building mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building systems and applicable energy codes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage priorities, exercise sound judgment, and mentor junior staff.
- Demonstrated flexibility and strategic thinking to support long-term project and client goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, Autodesk Revit, and Carrier HAP or a similar energy modeling platform.
