Position Summary
Jack Giambalvo Family of Dealerships is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Collision Center Parts Advisor to join our West York Collision Center team. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting our collision repair operations by ordering, receiving, organizing, and managing parts for vehicle repairs while ensuring efficient workflow for technicians and estimators.
The ideal candidate will have prior automotive parts experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced repair environment.
Key Responsibilities
Determine initial parts orders based on repair estimates and appraisals
Review and verify all parts needs with technicians after vehicle teardown to ensure repair accuracy
Order OEM, aftermarket, and recycled parts for collision repairs across all makes and models
Source hard-to-find parts through vendors and alternative suppliers when necessary
Utilize computerized parts inventory systems to maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and returns
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts shipments for accuracy, damage, and quality control
Match delivered parts to repair orders and distribute to assigned technicians
Track backorders, shipping delays, and missing parts to minimize repair interruptions
Process parts returns promptly and maintain documentation for credits and refunds
Enter invoices accurately and verify vendor pricing and discounts
Manage stock levels to ensure adequate parts availability for ongoing repairs
Assist estimators and technicians with supplemental parts needs during repairs in progress
Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and timely procurement
Maintain a clean, organized parts area and stockroom
Participate in ongoing product and systems training
Occasionally assist with local parts deliveries as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Automotive Parts Experience Preferred
Collision center or body shop experience strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret repair plans, estimates, and parts diagrams
Strong computer skills and ability to learn dealership inventory systems
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with technicians, estimators, and vendors
Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
Ability to wear dealership-provided uniform
