Responsibilities
- Underwrite complex property risks within delegated authority
- Review applications, financials, and risk factors to assess acceptability
- Apply pricing techniques in line with company filings and regulatory standards
- Monitor premium and loss trends within assigned portfolio
- Provide high-quality service to brokers and clients for new, renewal, and interim requests
- Build and maintain strong broker and client relationships
- Develop tailored insurance solutions in collaboration with brokers and clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Analyze and document underwriting decisions, rate appeals, and declinations
- Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory documentation standards
- Conduct joint visits with internal teams (Risk Engineering, Claims, Marketing) to support business growth
- Enhance technical expertise in industrial and global property underwriting
- Support training and development of underwriting staff as needed
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 7 years of multi-line underwriting experience
- Existing producer relationships preferred
- Proven negotiation and production skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
