Senior Jira Administrator / IT Systems Analyst

Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Jira Administrator / IT Systems Analyst to take ownership of a growing Atlassian ecosystem and drive system optimization across the business. This is a high-impact role where you’ll partner with technical and functional teams to enhance workflows, improve visibility, and deliver scalable solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Administer and optimize Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence
• Design and configure projects, workflows, permissions, and schemes to meet business needs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions
• Manage user access, roles, and security controls
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and automation to improve productivity and visibility
• Troubleshoot system issues and lead resolution efforts, including vendor coordination
• Support integrations with enterprise systems and third-party tools
• Develop documentation, user guides, and best practices
• Provide training and support to end users across technical and non-technical teams
• Mentor junior team members and elevate overall Jira capability
• Support occasional after-hours work to ensure system reliability

What You Bring

• 3 years of advanced Jira administration experience (senior-level scope)
• Strong expertise in:
• Workflow design and system configuration
• Permissions, schemes, and project setup
• Jira Service Management and Confluence
• Experience with Jira integrations and REST APIs
• Working knowledge of SQL and reporting tools
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (Groovy, Python, etc.) is a plus
• Understanding of Agile environments and ITIL frameworks
• Experience with SSO, VPNs, SSL certificates, or network concepts is beneficial
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Clear communication skills—you can work just as effectively with engineers as with business users

Nice to Have

• Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator (or similar)
• Experience with enterprise Jira environments or migrations
• Exposure to Power BI or advanced reporting tools
• Experience in Linux environments (e.g., Red Hat)
• Background in data integration or ETL processes
