What You'll Actually Do:
- Own the Project Lifecycle: Manage full-cycle project financial data from initial setup to closure, ensuring contracts, amendments, and files comply with company policies.
- Analyze Financial Performance: Master the Work in Process (WIP) and Estimates at Completion (EAC) reviews to identify over/under billings, explain margin changes, and mitigate project risks.
- Drive Billing & Collections: Spearhead the timely preparation of owner billings, compliance documentation, and supporting paperwork to ensure efficient payment collections.
- Act as a Strategic Partner: Partner closely with project teams and executives to deliver ad-hoc reporting, key updates, and clear visibility into project cost control and forecasting.
- Navigate Tax Compliance: Take the lead on understanding, coordinating, and educating teams on local sales and receipts taxes across multiple jurisdictions.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proven Track Record: 2 years of progressive cost and/or construction accounting experience.
- Core Construction Expertise: Deep understanding of project execution processes, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and project profitability.
- Adaptable & Agile: A problem-solving mindset with the ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic office environment.
- Exceptional Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface professionally with external clients, vendors, and internal leaders.
Where and How Much:
- Target Compensation: $75K - $85K, 10% Bonus
- Location: 100% In-Office, Englewood, CO
- Benefits package: Includes health and life insurance, 2 weeks PTO for first two years of employment and 401(k) with 4% match. 8 days of holiday pay.
