The Role:
The Logistics Coordinator/Fleet Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily management and deployment of company vehicles, equipment, and transportation resources to support field operations. This role supervises and coordinates the activities of 8 to 10 drivers, ensuring deliveries, equipment movements, and transportation requests are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The position manages an inventory of more than 1,000 pieces of equipment, maintaining accurate records of asset status, location, availability, and utilization while coordinating the allocation of equipment to meet project needs. Working closely with Project Managers, Foremen, the Fleet Manager, and Warehouse Director, the Logistics/Fleet Coordinator plans and schedules equipment requirements for current and upcoming projects, ensuring the right equipment is available at the right location and time. The role is responsible for tracking fleet and equipment availability, coordinating logistics operations, maintaining inventory records, and supporting project schedules through effective resource planning and asset management. In addition, the Logistics/Fleet Coordinator helps ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including driver qualification requirements, Hours of Service (HOS) compliance, vehicle documentation, and transportation recordkeeping. This position coordinates oversize and overweight load permitting, verifies proper load securement and transportation practices, and promotes adherence to all applicable safety and regulatory requirements. Serving as a key link between field operations and company resources, the Logistics/Fleet Coordinator helps maximize equipment utilization, promote safe and efficient transportation practices, and ensure smooth day-to-day logistics operations that support successful project execution.
The workday is Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with overtime available. Wage is dependent upon experience with a benefit package that includes medical, paid time off, paid training, company-match 401K, discretionary profit sharing and year-end bonus.
