Logistics Coordinator

Job Description:

This position will coordinate and schedule multiple carriers on chemical shipments at multiple facilities across North America.  As a member of LMR’s logistics team, the chosen candidate will interface with various levels of management as well as multiple departments. Strong analytical skills will be valuable as this position is also responsible for a variety of reporting and problem resolution functions.  The candidate must have strong written and verbal skills, and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be fluent with basic software applications, including Microsoft Office. Experience with SAP is a plus. 

Responsibilities:

• Locating carrier capacity for open shipments
• Tendering shipment notifications to 3^rd party carriers
• Working within a customized Transportation Management System
• Providing resolutions for daily exceptions
• Tracking and reporting non-conformances
• Supporting LMR and client management
• Various data analysis / reporting

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in either logistics/transportation scheduling or customer service
• Steady work history with a concentration in logistics, transportation, and/or customer service
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communications
• Strong Microsoft Office skills especially Excel
• Experience with chemicals or hazardous materials a plus
