Dental Treatment Coordinator
Location: Wilmington, Delaware

Position Overview
Our client, a privately owned, fast-paced & established surgical practice is seeking an experienced Treatment Coordinator who is a professional, compassionate, detail-oriented team player with extraordinary customer service to round out the Front Office Team.
The Treatment Coordinator acts as the primary liaison between the practice, referring practices and patients, focusing on presenting, scheduling, and financing treatment plans to increase case acceptance.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate patients on recommended dental treatment plans by clearly explaining procedures, benefits, and next steps to support case acceptance.
- Review treatment costs, verify insurance coverage, and present financing and payment plan options.
- Coordinate and manage patient scheduling to maintain an efficient workflow for both clinical and administrative teams.
- Optimize daily schedules to ensure smooth patient flow, reduced wait times, and maximum productivity.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing questions and concerns while creating a welcoming, comfortable experience.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records, including treatment plans, medical clearances, and interoffice communications under doctor supervision.
- Support front office operations such as answering phones, patient check-in/check-out, and overall schedule management.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Dental Front Desk experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a dental office required.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, and file management systems.
- Experience with dental practice management software required; Eaglesoft proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to clearly explain complex dental procedures in an easy-to-understand, patient-friendly manner.
- Proven ability to communicate the value of diagnosed treatment and help patients move forward with care despite financial concerns.
- Solid understanding of dental terminology, treatment planning, and insurance processes.
- In-depth knowledge of both in-network and out-of-network insurance workflows.
- High level of professionalism, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated initiative with excellent follow-up and attention to detail.
