Dental Assistant
Location: Wilmington, Delaware (On-site)
Pay: Based on experience
Duration: Temp-to-Hire, Full-Time
Position Overview
Our client, a specialty dental office in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a qualified and motivated Dental Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about patient care and wants to work in a collaborative, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor and hygienists during surgical and clinical procedures
- Perform all aspects of instrument sterilization and operatory setup/breakdown
- Take dental impressions and diagnostic images (including x-rays and CBCT)
- Accurately create and present treatment plans
- Provide clear explanations of procedures and post-operative instructions to patients
- Support clinical administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Dental Assistant certification
- Radiology certification required
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Outstanding customer service and communication abilities
- Confidence in educating patients and explaining treatment
- Knowledge of dental coding (periodontics, oral surgery, and implants preferred)
- Experience with Eaglesoft dental software is a plus
- Dental assisting experience preferred, but we are willing to train a motivated and eager learner who demonstrates initiative and a passion for growth
