Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Cleaning Technician to oversee cleaning operations in the Barron / Rice Lake area. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency across various commercial, industrial, and residential facilities. As a leader in the cleaning team, you will coordinate daily tasks, ensure quality standards are met, and mentor team members to deliver exceptional service. Position is Monday through Friday 4:30pm start. On call every 6 weeks on the Weekend.
Must be able to drive company car. 40 plus hours a week. Must be a team player with attention to detail.

Duties
- Supervise and coordinate cleaning activities across multiple sites, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to standard
- Train and mentor team members in proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use
- Conduct inspections of work areas to verify cleanliness, safety compliance, and quality of service
- Manage scheduling, assign daily tasks, and monitor team performance to meet deadlines
- Oversee specialized cleaning tasks such as floor buffing, industrial cleaning, or custodial maintenance as needed
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure proper usage and storage
- Communicate effectively with clients and management to address concerns or special requests
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning roles with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and standards
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a cleaning or facilities maintenance environment
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning processes and equipment used in large-scale facilities
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills to lead teams effectively and liaise with clients
Nice-to-have skills include residential painting experience, porter duties, facilities maintenance knowledge, or additional certifications related to cleaning or safety.
