At the J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center, we’ve been empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for more than 60 years. Our Early Intervention Program supports infants and toddlers during their most critical stages of development, helping them and their families build the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
We’re looking for a Speech/Language Therapist to join our team and provide family-centered, community-based services. If you are passionate about working with young children and families and want to be part of a collaborative, mission-driven organization, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
Conduct developmental evaluations and assessments of infants and toddlers.
Develop and implement individualized family service plan (IFSP) goals.
Provide direct therapy and family training in homes, community, and center-based settings.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and coach families in everyday routines.
Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with state and agency requirements.
Stay current with the best practices and maintain all required licensure and certifications.
What You’ll Bring
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Rhode Island licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship (CF) in progress.
1–2 years of pediatric clinical experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of child development, family-centered care, and early intervention practices.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to provide home and community-based services.
