Job Title: Construction Field Manager – Raw Lands Construction Experience Required

(this position is for commercial tower telecommunication construction - not residential)

Location: Houston, TX – possible 50% travel to job sites across the region

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Manager to oversee the development of wireless telecommunications infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on raw land builds. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing site development from initial land acquisition through construction and closeout, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

PRIMARY FOCUS: Candidates MUST have significant experience in earthworks, road building, or concrete work for raw land development projects. This is a critical requirement for success in this role. As a Field Construction Manager specializing in Wireless Telecommunication on Raw Land, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. Your leadership will ensure that all construction activities are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and project managers, to deliver exceptional results that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of wireless site construction, particularly raw land builds including site clearing, grading, utility coordination, and tower erection.
• Develop and implement construction management plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Conduct thorough quality control inspections and oversee quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers to create accurate construction estimates and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards on all construction sites.
• Facilitate effective communication among team members, contractors, and stakeholders to promote a collaborative work environment.
• Perform regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise promptly.
  
  

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in wireless telecommunications construction, with a focus on cell tower construction and raw land development.
• Proven experience in construction management with a focus on wireless telecommunication projects and raw land construction.
• Candidate MUST have extensive experience in earthworks, road building, or concrete work related to raw land development.
• Strong background in construction estimating and project management methodologies.
• Demonstrated expertise in quality control, quality inspection, and construction inspection practices.
• Solid electrical experience relevant to telecommunication infrastructure is preferred.
• Extensive experience working directly on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple field crews and subcontractors across various locations.
• The ideal candidate will have prior AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile/Sprint, and/or Dish experience
• Must have prior cellular construction experience with the ability to supervise multiple crews
• Experience dealing with cellular customer close-out packages (COPs)
• Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and specifications.
• Proficiency in project management tools and reporting software.
• Must possess strong analytical skills and acute attention to detail
• Strong organizational, problem-solving skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
• Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Must have experience with raw land work.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently.
