Ivy Mane Studio is a creative workshop studio centered around hands-on making, community, and thoughtfully designed experiences. We’re opening our new Madison location and looking for a reliable, creative, and hands-on Studio Assistant to join our opening team.
This is a great role for someone who loves creative environments, enjoys working with people, and doesn’t mind jumping in wherever needed. You don’t need to be a professional artist or have experience with every craft - we’re looking for someone who is organized, proactive, friendly, and excited to learn.
What You’ll Do
As a Studio Assistant, you’ll help keep workshops, private events, and day-to-day studio operations running smoothly. Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing materials and setting up the studio before workshops and events
- Assisting instructors during classes and private parties
- Welcoming guests and helping create a warm, relaxed studio experience
- Cleaning and resetting tables, tools, supplies, and the studio between events
- Preparing craft materials and workshop components
- Organizing and restocking supplies
- Helping with finished projects, packaging, and guest pickups
- Supporting seasonal events and special programming
- Learning Ivy Mane workshops with the opportunity to eventually assist with or lead classes
- Pitching in with other studio tasks as needed

- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, especially during events
- Are interested in learning new crafts and creative techniques
- Have previous experience in hospitality, retail, events, art studios, camps, workshops, or other customer-facing environments.
Availability
This is a part-time, in-person position at our Madison, NJ studio. Weekend availability is required, with some weekday availablility as well.
We’re especially interested in someone who would like to grow with Ivy Mane. For the right person, there will be opportunities to learn our workshops and eventually take on more responsibility within the studio.
