About the Role:
I am supporting a privately held, growth focused commercial HVAC business that is investing heavily into its data center division and building a dedicated sales function.
Backed by an established commercial HVAC platform with a strong reputation across the Mid Atlantic market, the business is now making a significant push into the data center space.
This is a strategic leadership opportunity for someone who can help scale the business nationally across hyperscale, colocation and mission critical markets.
The successful individual will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for building out the data center sales team, developing national go to market strategy and driving long term growth across the US.
This role requires a true player coach mentality. The successful individual will be expected to actively drive business development and sales themselves in the early stages, while simultaneously building and leading a specialist team.
This is not a maintenance role. It is a build role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and lead a dedicated data center sales organization
• Actively drive business development and strategic customer relationships
• Build out and develop a specialist sales team
• Develop and execute national growth strategy
• Build relationships across hyperscale, colocation, EPC and contractor channels
• Identify strategic market opportunities and drive revenue growth
• Partner closely with executive leadership on long term business strategy
Ideal Background:
• Strong experience within the data center or mission critical space
• Existing relationships across hyperscale, colocation, EPC or contractor markets
• Experience selling HVAC, cooling, mechanical infrastructure or related technical solutions into data centers
• Proven ability to build teams and drive growth
• Ability to operate strategically while remaining commercially hands on in the early stages
• Manufacturer rep experience preferred, though OEM backgrounds will also be considered
• Strong technical and commercial acumen
