Our client, a leading component manufacturer serving the aerospace and defense industry, is seeking an experienced and growth-oriented Sales Director to lead strategic business development initiatives from their Dallas, Texas location.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of driving top-line revenue growth within aerospace and defense manufacturing environments, along with established relationships across OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and key industry stakeholders. This individual will play a critical role in expanding market share, strengthening customer partnerships, and leading a small but high-performing commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth across aerospace and defense accounts
- Manage and grow business portfolios with annual revenues exceeding $60M
- Identify and secure new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and defense contractors
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and strategic partners throughout the industry
- Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to align customer requirements with manufacturing capabilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3 sales professionals
- Drive account expansion initiatives and support long-term growth strategies
- Negotiate commercial agreements and support key customer programs
- Monitor industry trends, customer activity, and competitive positioning to identify new opportunities
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of sales leadership experience within aerospace and defense manufacturing or component supply
- Proven experience managing revenue portfolios above $60M
- Demonstrated success growing top-line revenue and expanding strategic customer accounts
- Strong existing relationships with aerospace OEMs, defense contractors, and supplier networks
- Technical background or the ability to understand engineered/manufactured component solutions
- Prior leadership experience managing and developing sales teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
Preferred Background
- Experience supplying precision components, machined parts, assemblies, or engineered products into aerospace and defense programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards and customer requirements
Salary : $185,000 - $215,000
