Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join their engineering team and play a key role in supporting and advancing tooling, mold, and manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering, production, and customer engagement.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal production and engineering teams to support design, tooling, and manufacturing decisions, while also engaging directly with customers to discuss product requirements, provide technical input, and support the preparation of quotes. This role requires someone who is technically strong, personable, and confident communicating with customers, capable of translating customer needs into practical, manufacturable solutions.
As the business and engineering function continue to grow, this position offers clear progression opportunities, including increased technical ownership, involvement in R&D initiatives, and the potential to lead the R&D or engineering team in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and tool and die teams to support the design, development, and manufacture of tooling, molds, and cast components
- Serve as a key technical interface between internal teams and customers, confidently discussing product designs, manufacturing feasibility, and technical requirements
- Support customer quoting activities by reviewing drawings, specifications, and requirements to provide accurate technical input and cost considerations
- Lead and contribute to the design, modification, and continuous improvement of mechanical components, tooling, and casting molds
- Support and optimize foundry operations, including casting processes, mold design considerations, and material selection
- Develop, review, and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, cost reduction, and manufacturability
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and manufacturing issues in partnership with engineering, quality, and shop-floor teams
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to tooling, casting defects, and production challenges
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards and best practices
- Mentor junior engineers and support the development of engineering capability as the team grows
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
- 3–7 years of mechanical/industrial engineering experience, foundry, or casting environment is a bonus
- Proven ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing setting and collaborate closely with production teams
- Experience working directly with customers, including discussing designs, technical requirements, and manufacturing considerations
- Confidence and professionalism in customer-facing conversations, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and practically
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
- Authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
