Contract Manager – Electrical Construction
Location: East Rutherford, NJ
Compensation: $110,000–$150,000 base salary

Position Summary
The Contract Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of construction-related contracts, ensuring agreements align with business objectives, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and appropriately mitigate risk.
This role works closely with operations, procurement, finance, and external partners, serving as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters across the NJ division.
Contract Administration & Negotiation
- Review, draft, and negotiate construction contracts with clients, suppliers, and vendors
- Ensure contracts align with organizational goals, risk tolerance, and legal standards
- Coordinate contract amendments, renewals, and change documentation
Compliance & Risk Management
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying and addressing issues or breaches
- Evaluate contractual terms to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with teams including operations, procurement, finance, legal, sales, and service
- Ensure all stakeholders understand and meet contractual obligations
- Provide guidance on contractual interpretation throughout project execution
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and organized contract records, correspondence, approvals, and revision history
- Provide reporting and insights to leadership on contract status, trends, and improvement opportunities
Vendor & Client Management
- Act as the primary contact for contract-related inquiries from vendors and clients
- Support dispute resolution and relationship management as needed
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in contract management or contract administration
- Experience working with construction industry contracts (electrical construction preferred)
- Strong understanding of contract law, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with an analytical mindset
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Contract Law / Legal Studies
- Experience reviewing electrical construction agreements, scopes, and contractual clauses
- Background supporting union construction environments
