Project Accountant

Are you a Project Accountant who enjoys being more than just the person behind the numbers?

Our client is looking for a Project Accountant to play a key role in the financial management of architecture, engineering, and construction projects from project setup through final closeout. You’ll partner closely with Project Managers and leadership, monitor project financial performance, and help ensure projects stay financially healthy and on track.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage project billing schedules in partnership with Project Managers
• Prepare and submit accurate client invoices
• Review and allocate consultant, engineering, and vendor costs to projects
• Monitor job costs and project budgets
• Track client payments and maintain accurate financial records
• Partner with Project Managers and internal teams to ensure financial data is accurate
• Support month-end and year-end close
• Assist with percentage-of-completion accounting

What We’re Looking For

• 3 years of project accounting experience within architecture, engineering, or construction
• Strong understanding of job costing, project billing, and percentage-of-completion accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (not required)
• Experience with an ERP system; Sage, QuickBooks, or Deltek preferred
• Strong/advanced Excel skills
• Someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable partnering with project teams
