Experience Requirements
Engineer II
- Minimum 4 years of engineering experience
- Background in heavy industry or utility environments
- Experience in Project Engineering and/or Plant Maintenance
Engineer III
- Minimum 8 years of engineering experience
- Background in heavy industry or utility environments, with a focus on Project Engineering and/or Plant Maintenance
- Proven expertise in controls/process engineering systems
Preferred (Engineer III):
- 8 years supporting utility generating facilities or engineering firms serving utilities
- 2 years of experience supervising co-op students, contractors, or technical teams
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Project Lead on assigned engineering projects
- Provide technical support to Outage & Project Management (O&PM) teams and Energy Supply personnel
- Act as backup for the Lead I&C Engineer when required
- Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and coordinate daily activities of contractors and collaborate with construction teams, outage coordinators, and planners
- Review, coordinate, and manage engineering documentation from consultants and suppliers, ensuring proper issuance and recordkeeping
- Support development of Scopes of Work, project schedules, and cost estimates
- Lead project meetings and maintain alignment on schedule and budget objectives
- Identify and resolve operations & maintenance (O&M) issues within power plant systems
- Provide on-site support during outages and peak operational periods
Technical Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in control systems, process engineering, and instrumentation
- Ability to execute complex or non-routine engineering assignments, developing improved techniques and procedures
- Strong understanding of engineering studies, compliance reports, and regulatory requirements
- Skilled in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders
Work Environment
- Work performed in industrial plant environments, including exposure to noise, dust, and high humidity
- Must be able to use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to access confined spaces and navigate tight areas
Salary : $85,000 - $105,000
