Overview
Seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in BESS, Solar, and Power Electronics to support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support of solar inverter and battery storage systems. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role within the Service Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, troubleshoot, test, and maintain solar inverter and battery storage systems.
Diagnose inverter, battery, SCADA, communication, and utility grid-related issues.
Perform root cause analysis and prepare technical reports for customers.
Work directly with customers, field technicians, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
Support field service activities, site visits, repairs, and maintenance operations.
Collaborate with R&D teams on product improvements and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, LOTO, and site safety requirements.
Provide technical training to customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2 years of experience with a degree, or 4 years of experience in:
BESS / Energy Storage
Solar Industry
Power Electronics
Field Service, Applications, or Service Engineering
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and commissioning electrical systems.
Experience with solar inverters, battery systems, oscilloscopes, and power quality analyzers (PQA).
Knowledge of SCADA systems; Modbus experience is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred
Utility-scale solar or energy storage experience.
Knowledge of Electrical Safety Standards, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and LOTO procedures.
Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
