Google Cloud Platform Architect (Google Cloud Platform) || Austin, TX (onsite)
Experience: 12 18 Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and own end-to-end enterprise-grade cloud architecture on Google Cloud Platform
- Define and implement cloud landing zones, org structure, IAM hierarchy, and governance models
- Architect highly scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems on Google Cloud Platform
- Design and implement microservices and event-driven architectures
- Lead cloud modernization programs (refactor, re-platform, re-architect legacy systems)
- Design multi-region / multi-zone high availability and disaster recovery (DR) architectures
- Architect and enforce API-led integration strategies using REST / GraphQL / event streaming
- Design secure cloud networks (VPC, Shared VPC, hybrid connectivity)Lead CI/CD architecture and DevSecOps pipeline standardization
- Define Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards and automation frameworks
- Drive observability architecture (logging, monitoring, tracing, alerting)Conduct architecture reviews, design governance, and technical solution validations
- Integrate enterprise systems, ERP platforms, and third-party services into Google Cloud Platform ecosystem
- Provide technical leadership across distributed global teams (onsite/offshore)
Technical / Mandatory Skills:
- Expert in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform): Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud Functions
- Strong in Google Cloud Platform networking & security: VPC, Subnets, Firewall, Shared VPC, Load Balancing, IAM, Org Policies, Cloud DNS/NAT, Interconnect/VPN
- Experience in designing Google Cloud Platform Landing Zones and enterprise cloud foundations
- Strong expertise in Microservices architecture (DDD preferred) and Event-driven systems (Pub/Sub, Kafka equivalent)
- Hands-on experience in API design (REST, GraphQL, API Gateway patterns) and distributed system design
- Strong knowledge of data platforms: BigQuery, Spanner, Cloud SQL, Firestore, Dataflow, Dataproc
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD) and Git-based release workflows
- Strong in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (mandatory), Docker, and Kubernetes (GKE)
- Strong understanding of security architecture: Zero Trust, encryption, KMS, Secrets Manager, compliance at scale
