Garden Center Clerk

Join our vibrant team as a Garden Center Clerk. In this dynamic role, you will assist customers with their gardening and landscaping needs, manage inventory, and ensure the garden center operates smoothly and efficiently. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide advice on gardening, lawn care, and landscape products
• Assist customers in selecting gardening supplies, outdoor furniture, and seasonal merchandise
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and retail math calculations
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the garden center area to create an inviting shopping environment

Requirements

• Strong communication skills to effectively assist customers and work collaboratively with team members
• Basic retail skills including POS operation, cash handling, retail math, stocking and merchandising
• Organizational skills to manage inventory levels and maintain a tidy store environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and stocking inventory
• Multilingual abilities are a plus but not required
• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
