Position Overview: We are seeking motivated, reliable team members for a Seasonal Garden Center Associate role. This position offers hands-on experience in horticulture, retail operations, and customer service in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Associates play a key role in maintaining plant health, supporting retail operations, and delivering an exceptional customer experience during our busiest season.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive interactions with clients
- Assist with plant care including watering, pruning, fertilizing, and general maintenance
- Maintain, clean, and organize retail spaces and displays
- Help customers with plant selection and basic care guidance
- Load mulch, soil, and other materials for customers and deliveries
- Receive, organize, and rotate inventory
- Support seasonal displays and merchandising
- Identify and communicate issues with plants, displays, or systems to team leaders
- Demonstrate strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Communicate clearly and take direction from team leaders and management
- Maintain strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Show motivation, initiative, and willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of horticulture, retail, or customer service is a plus (training provided)
- Ability to perform physical work and lift/move materials as needed
- English required; Spanish is a plus
