Isabel's House is seeking an experienced, dependable childcare professional to serve as Child Advocate II, a shift supervisor role within our Crisis Nursery. This position provides leadership and direct supervision to Child Advocates while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and well-run environment for children and families in crisis.
The Child Advocate II plays a key role in maintaining the daily flow of the house, supporting staff, and modeling best practices in trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate care.

Isabel's House is seeking an experienced, dependable childcare professional to serve as Child Advocate II, a shift supervisor role within our Crisis Nursery. This position provides leadership and direct supervision to Child Advocates while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and well-run environment for children and families in crisis.
The Child Advocate II plays a key role in maintaining the daily flow of the house, supporting staff, and modeling best practices in trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate care.
What You'll Do
As a Child Advocate II, you will:
- Supervise and support Child Advocates during your designated shift
- Ensure licensing regulations and agency policies are followed at all times
- Assign staff duties, activities, and housekeeping responsibilities
- Maintain staffing coverage and child-to-staff ratios, including covering breaks and call-ins
- Organize and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities
- Model and lead Conscious Discipline approaches with children
- Support children's individual needs and de-escalate challenging situations
- Make timely, sound decisions to ensure safety and security
- Complete and verify documentation and charting in collaboration with Social Services Director
- Train, coach, mentor, and orient new Child Advocates and volunteers
- Collaborate with the program administration on staffing, performance, and operations
- Conduct safety drills and assist with medication oversight and well-child exams
- Participate in leadership meetings, staff meetings, and performance evaluations
What We're Looking For
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of childcare experience
- Paid supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership ability
- Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Associate's Degree in Child Development (CDA)
- Residential childcare experience
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, 24/7 care environment
