Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly creative and commercially driven Creative Director Art
Lead to lead the visual direction of Men’s Apparel across Target and Club channels
(Sam’s Club, Costco).
This role defines seasonal creative vision across graphics, color, fabric, and
trend, delivering product that resonates across multiple value tiers, customer
mindsets, and volume expectations.
This is a player-coach role—you will both set direction and personally create
graphics and artwork, while ensuring a strong point of view on fabrication, wash,
and material innovation to elevate the overall product.
Key Responsibilities
Own Creative Direction: Define seasonal concepts across graphics,
print, color, fabric, and trend, adaptable across Target and Club
customer needs
Fabric Trend Leadership: Drive a clear point of view on fabrications,
washes, textures, and finishes, ensuring alignment with trend and cost
targets
Create Lead Art: Hands-on development of graphics, typography, and
original artwork, setting the standard for the team
Channel Fluency: Translate creative direction across Target (trend-right,
brand-led) and Club (high-volume, value-driven, simplified) assortments
Lead Art Direction: Establish clear frameworks (typography, layout,
technique, and fabric/print execution) and approve all artwork for
consistency and impact
Drive Product Excellence: Elevate product through strong, scalable
graphics paired with thoughtful fabric selection and application
techniques
Lead & Develop Team: Manage and mentor designers; foster a fast,
solutions-oriented, creative culture
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Merchandising, Design,
and Sourcing to align creative with fabric strategy, costing, and margin
targets
Present & Influence: Clearly communicate concepts, including
fabrication and trend rationale, to leadership across multiple business
channels
Trend Translation: Distill cultural, fashion, and fabric/innovation trends
into commercial, accessible product appropriate for each channel
Qualifications
8–12 years in graphic design, art direction, or creative leadership
(apparel preferred)
Strong portfolio demonstrating both conceptual thinking and hands-on
design execution
Experience in men’s or young men’s apparel
Experience working across multiple retail tiers (mass value/club
preferred)
Strong understanding of fabrications, garment construction, and
print techniques
Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment

Deep knowledge of fabrics, washes, finishes, and how they impact
