What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Load Builder position at Irving Oil?
- Responsible for creating daily workloads for Home Heat delivery drivers. Utilizing existing people and transportation resources to support building efficient & cost effective loads through tracking daily performance in executing committed deliveries and meeting customers’ expectations.
- Team together with internal and external customers, and Dispatch Managers to meet KPI targets (safety, on-time delivery, meeting delivery windows, optimal deliveries, throughput).
- With customer satisfaction & service at the forefront, manages relationships with customers as the first point of contact for any transportation issues or inquiries relating to supply, products, assets and service interruptions (escalates as required).
- Make decisions & recommendations around a number of assets required for seasonal fluctuations in business, weather & supply interruptions. Strategic planning is also required for making product spec changes & meeting demand during supply outages.
- Record and reports on any run-outs or discrepancies within the business.
- Produce outcomes that demonstrate an understanding of financial impacts.
- Develop ways to work more effectively and shares knowledge with others
- Drive efficiencies through research, analysis and evaluation of relevant information, including pre and post deliveries.
- Apply creative approaches to proactively address business issues to achieve aligned solutions.
