Title: Environmental Health & Safety Manager - Speciality Chemical Manufacturing
Location: Newnan, Georgia, United States
Package: Up to $160,000 base salary (ability to exceed depending on experience), 15% bonus and additional benefits.
Company Overview
Irving Knight are partnered with a multi-million dollar international speciality chemical manufacturing organisation based in North Carolina. The role will lead will develop, implement and oversee safety/environmental programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and any other Local, State and Federal regulations, leading audits, managing hazardous waste/emissions, investigating incidents, training staff, and fostering a strong safety culture to prevent injuries and environmental harm to ensure an environmentally responsible operating chemical site.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Ensures adherence to OSHA, EPA (RCRA, Clean Air/Water), TSCA, Responsible Care and local laws; manages permits, reporting and agency interactions.
- Create/implement site EHS policies, emergency response plans, chemical management (SDS), and contractor safety programs.
- Conducts audits, inspections, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and risk assessments, implement corrective/preventative actions.
- To assess facility hazards across process, occupational, and environmental risks while driving the implementation of control measures.
Qualifications
- Experience: Extensive experience in EHS within chemical sites dealing with operations involving critical hazards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering degrees.
- Experience: EHS or PSM related duties within chemical manufacturing sites.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
