About the Role:
Iron County Medical Center (ICMC) has an opening for a Full-Time, PURCHASING MANAGER that will be responsible for placing supply orders, accepting shipments, and fostering good vendor/customer relations.
Responsibilities:
Maintain system of ordering materials, supplies and equipment for entire facility.
Communicate regularly and timely with department representatives regarding supplies needed, ordered, and received.
Tracking the flow of inventory through the facility’s supply chain.
Create purchase orders as needed and communicate orders to selected vendors; track and expedite orders.
Check all deliveries/packages against purchase order for accuracy and distribute appropriately.
Organize storage and cataloguing supplies/equipment in accordance with department and medical center policies.
Resolve invoicing issues.
Do order follow-up via telephone or e-mail as needed.
Work with Accounts Payable in getting invoices processed.
Skills and Abilities:
Minimum high school graduate.
2-3 years of inventory control experience preferred.
Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Bookkeeping, basic accounting knowledge and advanced clerical skills required.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills and organizational skills a must
Ability to satisfactorily use purchasing software and key minimum of 50 wpm.
Must be able to multi-task, exercise good judgment, be dependable, and be capable of independently conducting assigned tasks and day-to-day duties efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
