Position Summary:
With limited supervision, reviews and resolves all open insurance accounts to ensure optimal reimbursement
Job Responsibilities:
Identifies and resolves denials and payment issues in a timely manner
Works toward achieving Best Practice Goals for Days in AR and AR Aging
Addresses special projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics:
Extensive knowledge of:
- Billing and reimbursement process for physicians and other practitioners
- Compliance rules and regulations related to physicians
- Computer hardware and software
- Team dynamics and the process of building consensus
- Interpersonal communication skills for working with personnel
Qualifications:
Minimum experience of five years of A/R Follow-Up in a physician multi-specialty environment is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
