LPN - Charge Nurse - Full Time

Iris Memory Care of Nichols Hills is a small assisted living community (57 residents) that specializes in the care of seniors living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. We are looking for a strong, experience memory care nurse (LPN) to join our team. 

This is a full-time, salaried position for a nurse (LPN) to serve as Weekend Supervisor and Charge Nurse for our small assisted living community. This position will report to our Wellness Director who is the clinical leader of the community. The right fit for this position would be a strong LPN looking to grow as a manager who is able to dedicate the time and energy needed to succeed. This is a salaried position with a rate of pay of $62,400 annual ($30 per hour) - $66,560 annual ($32 per hour). The full-time schedule will be Saturday - Wednesday. 

Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This is a requirement of the position. Experience with staff management and staffing, memory care and assisted living, and general management will be prioritized

Primary Essential Job Duties:

• Serve as Weekend Manager on Duty. 

• Reviews staff schedules and service delivery tasks with Executive Director/Wellness Director.

• Assists with activities of daily living/ADL’s, environmental orientation, dining services, life enrichment programs, laundry and housekeeping, meal services, and other care services assigned, while encouraging self-care and independence.

• Receives and gives report from the previous shift and to the next shift.

• Reviews and carries out task assignments with the Wellness Director/Designated Supervisor.

• Reads the staff communication records and maintains familiarity with Resident records as required.

• Assists with orientation of new staff to job responsibilities.

• Provides services as indicated on Resident assessment, task sheets, and service plans

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum two to four years experience in working with older adults. 

• Experience in long term care and/or assisted living preferred. 

• Twelve (12) plus years of education preferred. High school diploma or GED required.

• At least 18 years old

• Experience with dementia residents preferred.

• Experience with staffing required

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the OK Board of Nursing 

• Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately.

• Organizes and utilizes time appropriately toward accomplishing assigned tasks; requires minimal supervision.

• Displays good grooming, personal appearance, and follows dress code requirements.

• Displays mature behavior and attitude in speech and action.

• Works cooperatively with management.

• Displays willingness to assist co-workers when situation requires.

• Ability to communicate and work with all levels of IRIS Team Members and IRIS Department Managers effectively.

• Ability to recognize and communicate problems appropriately.

• Willingness to adhere to the IRIS principles in provided services.

• Ability to demonstrate effective training skills.

• Ability to relate to the public, Residents, families, staff, other professionals appropriately.

• Ability to communicate efficiently in English, verbally and in writing.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; 35 pounds regularly.

• Routinely requires pushing, pulling, bending, walking, reaching, and stooping.

• Ability to organize their time and follow-up with the ability to perform job tasks efficiently

• Ability to teach/train others effectively.

• Demonstrates as a team player with a positive attitude; able to work with IRIS Team Members and IRIS ownership/management staff.

Salary : $62,400 - $66,560
