Now Recruiting: Two Quarter-Time AmeriCorps 4‑H Outreach Education & Outreach Specialists (450 Hours)
Location: Waterloo, IA – Black Hawk County Extension
Black Hawk County Extension and Outreach is seeking two AmeriCorps 4‑H members to serve as Outreach Education & Outreach Specialists supporting youth programming and community engagement across Waterloo.
This 450‑hour AmeriCorps service term is an excellent opportunity for students or emerging professionals interested in youth development, education, community outreach, or nonprofit careers.
💼 What You’ll DoAmeriCorps members will support youth programming and outreach by:
• Helping deliver ~50 educational programs serving ~500 youth
• Co‑leading and leading activities in STEM, arts, leadership, technology, entrepreneurship, and more
• Supporting volunteer recruitment efforts
• Assisting with marketing and outreach to grow 4‑H enrollment
• Helping at 15–20 community events
• Building new community partnerships that increase youth opportunities
🕒 Service Details• Quarter‑Time AmeriCorps Term: 450 hours
• Two positions available
• Start Date: February 1, 2026
• Service Location: Waterloo, IA (Black Hawk County Extension)
