We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Set Up & Take Down Person to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently assembling, disassembling, and transporting event or construction setups, ensuring all equipment and materials are handled safely and accurately. Duties
- Prepare event or construction sites by setting up necessary equipment, signage, and materials according to schematics and plans.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to assemble structures such as scaffolding, staging, or temporary installations.
- Take down setups promptly after events or projects, ensuring all items are properly stored or transported for reuse.
- Inspect sites regularly to ensure safety standards are maintained during setup and takedown processes.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute setup plans.
- Assist with additional construction-related tasks such as fixture installation, drywall work, or minor repairs as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management, site setup, or related roles involving heavy equipment operation and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with construction estimating, inspection procedures, and safety standards on job sites.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, roofing materials, and other construction equipment.
- Knowledge of various trades including plumbing, electrical systems, masonry, carpentry (including trim carpentry and frame carpentry), stucco application, tile laying, concrete finishing, welding, and restoration techniques.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; able to follow instructions precisely.
- Certification or experience in heavy equipment operation is a plus; familiarity with Bluebeam software is advantageous for reviewing plans digitally.
