Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant with strong organizational skills and a process-driven mindset to support their growing construction accounting operations.
Construction accounting experience is preferred, but they are willing to train the right person.
The ideal candidate thrives in structured environments, enjoys working through detailed financial workflows, and is comfortable managing high-volume transactional tasks with accuracy and consistency.
This is a hybrid position located in the RTP area. (~3 days in the office, 2 days remote once up to speed)
The role will work closely with and support their Accountant by assisting with day-to-day operational and project-related accounting tasks to help ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Responsibilities Include
- Supporting weekly credit card and expense processing
- Payroll job costing
- Accounts payable and receivable functions
- Project accounting activities
- Administrative support across multiple systems including Foundation, HH2, ProCore, iSolved, and Excel.
- Processing and reviewing expense transactions
- Maintaining job cost allocation spreadsheets
- Assisting with payroll data and labor allocations
- Supporting vendor invoice and project billing workflows
- Verifying cost code accuracy
- Helping to maintain alignment between project financials and accounting records.
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as new vendor setup, ensuring vendor files and compliance documentation are complete and up to date
- Supporting HR-related duties including employee onboarding, and helping to maintain organized financial and personnel records.
