Overview
As a Associate Financial Planner, you will play a critical role in helping clients achieve their financial goals through personalized investment strategies and comprehensive financial planning. As a fee-only advisor you will not be selling financial products - You will be helping guide clients you develop a relationship with through their entire financial life with a focus on saving, investing, taxes, and estate planning. You will leverage your expertise in financial concepts and investment management to provide tailored advice that aligns with clients' needs and objectives. This position requires a strong understanding of firm financial planning principles, financial software, entrepreneurial drive, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with clients.
Duties
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their financial goals and objectives.
- Provide expert advice on investment management, asset allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Utilize financial software to analyze client portfolios and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Stay informed about market trends, economic developments, and changes in securities law that may impact client investments.
- Conduct regular reviews of client accounts to ensure alignment with their financial plans.
- Engage in networking with local business owners to create referral partnerships to grow potential client pipelines
- Collaborate with other financial professionals to deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients outlining their financial status and recommendations.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance knowledge of financial concepts.
Experience
- A background in wealth management is preferred, but not required.
- Proven experience in sales or financial sales roles is highly desirable.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively.
- Familiarity with investment management principles and practices is essential.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification is highly desirable.
- Series 65 License is required - we will assist with attainment if not completed
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly to clients.
