Business Development and Capture Manager

Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Business Development and Capture Manager to oversee key capture activities on new business opportunities as well as support corporate business development initiatives. This position will also collaborate with technical leads and the executive team to ensure Invariant’s growth strategy maximizes our current capabilities to meet customer requirements.
Duties Include:
Business Development Pipeline – Support efforts maintain the corporate pipeline for existing and new customers. Support monthly meetings with PMs and technical leads to update this pipeline.
Capture Management – Work with PMs and technical leads to identify new business opportunities, determine opportunity viability, develop win strategies, and lead the development and submission of winning proposals.
Relationship Management – Understand the customer and competitive landscape and manage relationships with key stakeholders in each to best understand how Invariant can meet customer needs and who key competitors and/or partners might be for new business opportunities.
Marketing and Trade Shows – Provide input and support the corporate marketing strategy that is consistent with corporate capabilities. Additionally, supporting planning and implementation of trade show activities both CONUS and OCONUS.
Technology Roadmap – Understand current capabilities and customer requirements to ensure future offerings are in line with market trends and the needs of the warfighter.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of BD experience with DoW customers.
Experience working with DoW Program Management Offices and the Defense Acquisition Process for Programs of Record and/or Urgent Capability Acquisition.
Demonstrated success in executing capture activities to include understanding the requirement, assessing win probability, team building, and proposal development.
An active Secret Clearance
Preferred skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar from an accredited university program.
Experience with foreign military sales
Knowledge of the Government’s budgeting and acquisition process.
Defense Acquisition Training and/or Project Management Professional Certification
Work Environment:
Office environment. Must be willing to travel to customer locations, conferences, and meetings up to 25%.
