Vehicle Rental Counter

Interstate Nationalease has an immediate opening for a Rental Account Executive in our Birmingham, AL market. The successful candidate will have experience in interacting with existing customers and prospecting for new customers in a defined sales territory.

Job Description

The following duties and responsibilities are requirements for this position:

• Complete a yard check at least twice a day.
• Maximize rental fleet utilization within the preset parameters of credit and pricing.
• Monitor substitute vehicles. Work with Operations to reduce the time a rental vehicle is used as a substitute.
• Identify dead-lined rental equipment and length of time for downed vehicles. Work with Operations to reduce downtime to a minimum.
• Keep the Turn Down Report updated and accurate.
• Work with other sales associates and the Operations team to fulfill every customers’ need
• Conduct weekly telemarketing calls. Pass leads to the appropriate sales associate
• Manage the phone lines of all incoming calls.
• Take reservation request, and review every alternative before turning down a reservation
• Inspect all inbound and outbound rental vehicles.
• Complete rental agreements for all customers
• Handle all rental billing for the branch.
• Manage trip reporting for branch rental vehicles
• Manage the branch accounts receivables for all commercial rental customers and assist corporate with FSL, GMA, and FMA accounts receivable
• Assist the operations team with obtaining estimates and approvals and for all re-billable items related to the rental fleet
• Purchase of office supplies
• Greet all non-INL visitors to the branch

Qualifications:

• Experience in the transportation industry.
• Willingness to train to increase product knowledge of all product lines represented by INL and close sales of INL product lines and services to customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with computer proficiency needed in an office environment, i.e., Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Advanced organizational and time management skills.
• High energy and enthusiasm required to meet the rigorous demands of the position.
• Clean MVR for the past five calendar years.
