Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and business rules
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams
- Analyze current business operations and recommend process improvements
- Support business process redesign and documentation efforts
- Conduct requirements elicitation, validation, and change management activities
- Create and maintain business process models and requirement repositories
- Work closely with technical, testing, project management, and business teams
- Provide clarification and interpretation of requirements to development and QA teams
- Identify project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with vendors, state agencies, healthcare providers, and stakeholders
- Support MMIS and healthcare-related project initiatives
- Participate in governance, documentation, and reporting activities
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Business, or Healthcare field
- 5 years of experience in Government IT projects as a Business Analyst
- 5 years of experience eliciting, mining, and documenting business rules and processes
- 3 years of Medicaid or Healthcare industry experience
- Strong understanding of business modeling techniques and process flow documentation tools
- Experience documenting requirements, workflows, and use cases
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to analyze regulations, policies, and business procedures
Preferred Skills
- Medicaid subject matter expertise
- MMIS project or operational experience
- Healthcare insurance domain experience
- Microsoft Project / Project Server experience
- Knowledge of formal business process documentation methodologies
