We are seeking an Manufacturing Environmental Specialist to support and strengthen environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory readiness across our high-volume manufacturing facility. In this role, you will lead day-to-day environmental programs, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and partner closely with operations to build a strong environmental and sustainability culture.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve overall environmental performance
- Collaborate with Health & Safety to support a strong, integrated EHS culture
- Oversee, prepare, and submit annual environmental permits (TCEQ, SWPPP, SPCC)
- Coordinate ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certification and recertification activities
- Develop and deliver environmental training programs for employees
- Lead environmental strategy, risk reduction initiatives, and compliance improvement projects
- Conduct internal environmental assessments, audits, and site inspections
- Work closely with International’s Corporate Environmental Team on North America-wide initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal policies
- Establish, track, and report environmental performance goals for the facility
- Monitor and report key environmental metrics and KPIs on a regular basis
- Support Manufacturing 4.0 and continuous improvement initiatives related to sustainability
- Maintain and execute the facility’s Waste Management Plan
- Serve as the primary liaison with local government and environmental regulatory agencies
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 years of environmental health and safety experience in manufacturing facility
OR
- Master’s degree
OR
- At least 4 years of environmental health and safety experience in manufacturing facility
- Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred
- Degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred
- Strong background in auditing, compliance, and environmental systems (air, wastewater, chemical & waste management)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience with project management
- Positive, proactive mindset with a passion for environmental and community
