Metallurgist - technical lead
Requirements:
- Create new heat treat processes and procedures.
- Give technical direction to production.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Verify current processes.
- Trouble shoot equipment.
- Determine failure modes in parts and processes.
- Customer service.
- Management of the metallurgical laboratory and direct reports
- Oversee completion of Metallurgical PPAP procedure.
- Assist with customer and regulatory audits (AS9100, Nadcap)
- Research technologies that apply to provide continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Communicate well with teammates and customers
- Comply with company safety and quality requirements
- Be comfortable giving technical direction to production personnel.
- Have commercial heat treat knowledge and experience.
- Have 3-5 years of customer service experience.
- Enjoy a busy work day with a variety of tasks
- Have a thorough understanding of metallurgy and microstructure analysis.
Salary : $90,000
