Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional assistance.
- Help customers locate grocery products and answer general questions.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and product displays with merchandise.
- Organize grocery items and maintain neat, accessible displays.
- Check product labels, prices, packaging, and expiration dates as required.
- Rotate products and follow proper stocking and storage procedures.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and organizing deliveries.
- Monitor shelf inventory and report low-stock items to supervisors.
- Maintain clean aisles, shelves, checkout areas, and workspaces.
- Assist with bagging groceries and checkout operations when needed.
- Handle grocery products carefully to help maintain product quality.
- Identify damaged or expired items and report them promptly.
- Help customers with routine shopping requests and product availability questions.
- Assist with inventory counts and product organization as assigned.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, store policies, and workplace safety procedures.
- Support opening, closing, restocking, and general store maintenance tasks.
- Work cooperatively with team members during busy shopping periods.
- Perform other grocery store duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous grocery store, retail, stocking, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
