International Market is seeking a dependable, friendly, and customer-focused Grocery Store Associate to support daily store operations and provide a positive shopping experience. This role involves assisting customers, stocking and organizing merchandise, checking product quality, receiving deliveries, maintaining clean store areas, and helping ensure grocery products remain available and properly displayed.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional assistance.
- Help customers locate grocery items and navigate different store sections.
- Answer basic questions about product availability, pricing, and merchandise placement.
- Stock shelves, displays, refrigerators, and designated product areas.
- Organize grocery products to maintain neat, accessible, and attractive displays.
- Receive, unload, unpack, sort, and organize merchandise deliveries.
- Check product packaging, expiration dates, and condition according to store procedures.
- Rotate inventory and remove damaged or expired products as required.
- Monitor stock levels and replenish shelves when needed.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain organized storage areas.
- Keep aisles, shelves, checkout areas, and workstations clean and orderly.
- Help maintain proper storage conditions for refrigerated and frozen products.
- Follow food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist customers with product questions and direct specialized inquiries to the appropriate team member.
- Support checkout operations and bag groceries when needed.
- Handle merchandise, equipment, and store supplies carefully.
- Report product issues, customer concerns, and supply shortages to supervisors.
- Assist with opening, closing, and general store maintenance tasks.
- Work collaboratively with coworkers to support efficient daily operations.
- Perform other grocery store duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous grocery store, supermarket, retail, stocking, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
