Japanese Bilingual – Sales Rep. Japanese and English language skills required.
Job location: Midtown Manhattan. On-site position.
A well-established Japanese company is looking for a sales rep who is fluent in Japanese and English, and has sales or customer service experience.
Some of the main responsibilities at this sales position: Communicate with customers, manufacturing companies, and vendors, using Japanese and English language skills on a daily basis. Prepare quote. Confirm delivery dates. Take and process orders. Conduct research so as to increase sales. Communicate with the head office and customers in Japan via email, phone and online on a daily basis.
Some of the minimum qualification requirements:
- Fluent in Japanese and English. A native level of Japanese (N1, N2 and/or a native Japanese speaker), and at least a business level of English.)
- 2 years of sales and/or customer service exp. An ideal candidate has work exp at a manufacturing, import/export trading or distributor.
- Able to travel for business by car and air.
- A valid US driver’s license.
- Able to use Excel and PowerPoint in Japanese and English.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- Able to work overtime with short notice as needed.
- Able to start in 2 weeks at the office if you receive a job offer. (Note: This is an on-site position.)
A staring salary: $62,500/yr with a discretionary bonus. FLSA Status: Exempt.
Note: This isn’t a commission-based sales role.
