Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a diverse selection of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies; assist in stock replenishment and ordering as needed.
- Develop creative beverage recipes to enhance the menu and meet guest preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for billing, and process payments efficiently.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during events such as banquets or catering functions to ensure seamless service.
- Assist in bar management duties including scheduling, training new staff, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or upscale hospitality settings preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Strong background in beverage recipe development, cocktail mixing techniques, wine knowledge, and craft beer expertise.
- Experience serving at banquets or catering events is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently through effective time management.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures within the food industry.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding for inventory management, and accurate billing procedures.
- Previous bar management experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
