Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
- Advise clients on financing structures, including construction, acquisition, mezzanine, and syndicated lending.
- Structure and negotiate joint ventures, partnerships, and entity formations for real estate investments.
- Oversee land use, zoning, permitting, and entitlement matters, working closely with local authorities and stakeholders.
- Provide strategic counsel on development projects from inception through completion, including regulatory and environmental considerations.
- Advise on distressed assets, workouts, restructurings, and real estate-related insolvency matters.
- Play an active role in client development, relationship management, and broader practice growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from a recognised law school and admission to the California Bar.
- Significant experience in sophisticated real estate transactions at a leading law firm.
- Demonstrated expertise across acquisitions/dispositions, financing, development, and leasing.
- Strong understanding of land use, environmental, and regulatory frameworks in California.
- Experience advising a diverse client base including developers, investors, and lenders.
- Proven ability to lead transactions and manage client relationships independently.
