Based in our client’s Houston office, this opportunity is ideal for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Real Estate Partner who wants to work with developers, REITs, homebuilders, equity investors, lenders, and government entities on high-profile transactions across the U.S. and internationally.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage sophisticated real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development matters.
- Counsel clients through all aspects of real estate development: entitlements, re-zoning, incentives, construction agreements, and joint ventures.
- Handle portfolio and single-asset transactions involving office, mixed-use, retail, healthcare, hospitality, and residential sectors.
- Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams (tax, environmental, construction, litigation) to provide seamless legal service.
- Leverage your network and industry affiliations to drive continued market visibility and client value.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and current admission to the Texas Bar (or eligibility to waive in).
- Extensive experience in real estate law, ideally in a large or mid-sized law firm setting.
- Demonstrated success leading complex transactions, including financings, REAs, joint ventures, and sale/leaseback deals.
- Experience representing a wide variety of real estate clients — from developers and REITs to institutional investors and homebuilders.
- Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills with a keen commercial sensibility.
