We are seeking a talented and motivated mid-level Litigation Associate to join a highly regarded Product Liability and Class Action practice based in Los Angeles. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-exposure litigation matters, including product liability and class action cases, often involving catastrophic injury claims. Associates joining the team will be involved in all stages of litigation and will work closely with partners and clients on sophisticated defense matters in a collaborative, trial-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of product liability and class action litigation matters
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and discovery-related motions
- Manage fact investigation and discovery, including written discovery and document production
- Prepare corporate witnesses for depositions
- Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and experts
- Prepare briefs and other substantive legal filings
- Attend court appearances and hearings
- Assist with trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings
- Work directly with clients and provide clear, strategic legal guidance
- Manage cases effectively while meeting deadlines and quality expectations
Qualifications:
- 4–7 years of experience in complex litigation
- Substantial experience in product liability and class action defense matters
- Defense catastrophic injury experience strongly preferred
- Admission to practice in California required
- Strong written communication and oral advocacy skills
- Demonstrated experience handling cases from inception through resolution
- High attention to detail and ability to perform under tight deadlines
- Strong client-facing and interpersonal skills
